This is a winner. Incredibly easy, extremely few ingredients and no kneading. So moist and also makes fantastic toast! Whole wheat bread and vegan baked beans for breakfast!

Made this a few days ago and really enjoyed it *but* there are a few caveats. The charred outer layer of the seitan is incredible and tastes exactly like meat. But the thick middle is dense and a bit flavorless. We ended up slicing them into smaller strips and charred them again for teriyaki bowls which tasted amazing. I liked how simple this recipe was but I think next time instead of steaming it in foil I'll try piercing the dough then placing it in a broth to simmer for about an hour. I've seen this done with other seitan recipes and figure it'll help give it the flavor I thought it was missing. Overall this recipe was a great introduction to making seitan for the first time!

I made this last night because I'm trying to eat vegan at least 3 days per week. Not sure I like the taste of coconut milk with pasta but I'm glad to have tried something new!

I think I found the recipe!!! This was less than what I’ve seen on most channels and so simple!! Thanksgiving 2020 👏🏽with a side of diary free Mac and cheese 👏🏽but everything else will be non vegan.

Use other of your recipes so thanks for the easy recipe. Just I think I probably use peanut butter or another vegan or vegetarian cream for butter and I will hand mix as I don't own an electric mixer

I made this and it was sooo good! Especially when you let it chill over night in the fridge it comes out so much creamier and smooth just like dairy egg nog but this is better.
